Today my roommate and fellow soon to be trainee did a dry run to queens college where our training will commence on Monday (3 days from now).
2 subway trains and a bus later we got there. However, these two trains were annoying. Then we get on a bus and it takes forever, landing us at our destination almost 2 hours after we left. Again it seems like this company chooses the most far away places for our training, a hoop that seems primed to make us jump when they say so. The only upside of our travel was the stain glass I have attached.

We get there and immediately use the bathrooms off the lobby. I get a bottle of water from the on-site cafe. Then we head upstairs to find the classrooms were we will be attending our training sessions. The first classroom was quite comfy, both me and my roommate will be sitting in the front row. We checked out the 2nd classroom and noticed the wood work on the walls.
When we were in the first class room we couldn’t help but wonder if we were the only people in our class to do a test run to see how far away the college was from our home.
Meanwhile, we both just moved in to our new apartment and have been living without heat and hot water for the last 3 weeks. Thankfully it got restored today, meaning we will be able to shower and cook before our first day of training on Monday.
We now have this long commute to look forward to twice a day for a month, except 2 brief trips to Miami for simulation training.
