Loosing a bag and gaining perspective

Last week on my trip from LA to Copenhagen my big bag did not make the journey with me. It decided to stay in LA.

A week later and I finally have my bag back. Looking back on the situation I handled it as best I could. The most overwhelming thing was shopping for me.

I got to Copenhagen and only had one clean pair of underwear. I needed a change of clothing as I had been wearing what I had on for 11 and half hours and felt gross but shopping for clothing is a daunting task for me. My body is wonderful and I love it but finding clothing that fits and makes me feel good is difficult and always has been.

We went to an H & M and I searched for possibly 40 minutes for anything I could fit into and be comfortable in. Finally, as I was about to give up I found a dress and grabbed a jean jacket and some cheap underwear.

Now a week out and after I gained my luggage back the perspective and clarity has set in. I probably could have had more feelings and anxieties about it all, and rather I was quite calm with the exception of crying after shopping for 2 seconds.

Overall my first time to Copenhagen was unexpectedly stressful and yet I still enjoyed myself immensely.

Can’t wait to go back to Copenhagen in 2 weeks and moral is even crew bags get left behind.
