Technology, although amazing and awesome, sometimes can fail us.

Let me set the scene. I and a colleague are placed on a chartered flight by our company. This is due to our planes undergoing maintenance and the need to hire out some of our routes in order to facilitate the continued service. We are placed on the plane to make sure the service on these hired charters is carried out to our companies standard and also to set up one small device that is used to sell on board snacks to any patron whom wants them.

We get on the plane and try to set up the device, that is relatively easy to set up, only to find it isn’t cooperating.

The anxiety that takes over when you are hitting buttons that you know should be working but aren’t is real.

Ultimately a colleague came to the rescue and it turned out ok. What a frustration though.

It’s also worth mentioning that I felt the same amount of frustration when I got to my hotel and there was no reservation for me. If only I could get beamed into outer space.
