Flying passive is when a crew member flies as a passenger on a flight and is paid for the  time. We do not work but it is a positioning that we do in order to work either a next flight or possibly to get home. 

I happen to be flying passive because there was supposed to be another trainee on our journey and he happened to not show up to the first day of class. This passive flight that I am taking from LAX to Copenhagen was supposed to be the other trainee’s check flight. 

I got to sit in the flight deck for landing and let me tell you, there is no better place to sit. It was awesome!

I got to the airport though and behold my bliss slightly faultered as my large luggage had been left back in LA I believe/hope. 

Now in Copenhagen without my main source of clothing I get to buy clothing to survive on the companies dime. No worries, thankfully I packed smart and have the essentials with me.
